Welfare Rights Service

The Welfare Rights Income Advisor aims to support people with mental health difficulties who live in Renfrewshire to manage their finances. To reduce the stresses that can arise around finances and provide support to enable people to access the services they need to assist in their overall wellbeing and recovery.

The role of the Income Advisor is to work with individuals to maximise their income through:

  • Checking benefit entitlement

  • Assisting with claim forms

  • Assisting with benefit tribunals / medicals

  • Supporting people to access other community services

Where?

The RAMH Income Advisor is based in our Blackstoun Road office in Paisley and people can attend appointments there or at the Charleston Centre where a clinic is held on a Tuesday from 2pm-4pm. Hospital visits can be arranged and where people have difficulty attending appointments home visits can be arranged.

How can I make a referral?

Access to the service can be by telephone initially or on the RAMH Referral Form.  We welcome self referrals and referrals from service providers.
