Volunteer Advocates
Updated: Monday 16th June 2008
You First Advocacy are currently recruiting new volunteers to support people to have their voice heard. We don't give advice, instead we can help people get the information they need to make real choices and give the help needed to get their choices across.
Our volunteers come from all backgrounds and walks of life. Many have used Advocacy as an opportunity for self-development or as a springboard into a new career. Others have been happy to help people in the community in their spare time. We work during office hours only although our training will be in the evenings.
RAMH Causeway 'One Stop Shop' has produced it's spring & summer group programme.
These range from drop in social support groups in Barrhead and Clarkston to structured courses in anxiety management and assertiveness. If you are interested in finding out more about any group please get in touch.
RAMH will be hosting it's regular 'All Staff and Volunteer Consultation Day' on Tues 13th May. This gives all the people involved with the organisation the opportunity to get together and discuss issues relevant to RAMH and the voluntary sector in general. For more information please contact the Admin team on 0141 847 8900.
